Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2022 (advance information)
After two weaker harvest years, Finland’s cereal harvest will return to an average level in 2022. According to Luke’s harvest estimate, the cereal harvest will be nearly 3.6 million tons. The organic cereal harvest will be roughly 174,000 tons, accounting for 5% of the total cereal harvest.

- Barley: 1.43 million tons (+38%)
- Oats: 1.20 million tons (+51%)
- Wheat: 0.84 million tons (+24%)
- Rye: 0.06 million tons (-4%)
- Turnip rape and rapeseed: 53,000 tons combined (+52%)
- Potato: 562,000 tons (+1%)
- Pea: 92,000 tons (+116%)
- Broad bean: 19,000 tons (+58%)
The 2022 organic cereal harvest totals 173,000 tons (+49% from the previous year) - accounts for 5% of Finland’s total cereal production.

Information about the quality of the cereal harvest has been compiled by combining the crop production data collected by Luke and the Finnish Food Authority’s cereal quality monitoring information.
