Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2019

Normal cereal harvest in 2019 following lowest harvestyear in 2000s. The grain harvest was 4.0 million tons, i.e. 46% higher than in the previous year.

  • Totalling 1.682 million tons, the barley harvest increased by 26%
  • Totalling  1.170 million tons, the oats harvest increased by 43%
  • Totalling 902,000 tons, the wheat harvest increased by 82%
  • Totalling 182,000 tons - the rye harvest was four times higher than in 2018
  • The potato harvest, 619,000 tons, corresponded to that of last year
  • The broad bean harvest (30,000 tons) was 25% higher year-on-year
