Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2015

The total grain harvest in 2015, i.e. 3.7 billion kg, decreased by 10% from 2014. Barley accounts for half of Finland´s grain harvest.
The wheat harvest was 1.0 billion kilos, a year-on-year decrease of 10%. However, in terms of quality, the wheat harvest did not measure up to previous years.
The total production of rape and turnip rape increased from about 63 million kilograms to 85 million kg.
The total peas harvest increased by 76% and its total production amounted 25 million kg.
