Crop Production Statistics and the quality of the grain harvest 2013, advance information

The total grain harvest in 2013, i.e. 4.1 billion kg, increased by 13% from 2012. Barley accounts for half of Finland´s grain harvest.
The total production of turnip rape increased from about 50 million kilograms to 52 million kg. The total production of rape decreased from 24 million kg to 29 million kg
The potato harvest increased by 27%, and amounts to about 620 million kg.
The total sugar beet harvest increased by27% from 2012 and is about 506 million kg.
The total horse bean harvest decreased by 22% and its total production amounted 17 million kg.
The quality of the grain harvest: The quality of the domestic harvest for bread and feed grains in 2013 was good.
