Extrusion Center – the latest processing technology for product development
On this page
Luke’s Extrusion Center is a versatile research and piloting environment where the processing of different raw materials and side streams can be tested and developed. Extrusion helps create, for example, foodstuff or animal feed products that feature a new kind of texture, appealing appearance, desired consistency, improved shelf life or better user experience.
What we offer our customers
- Processing methods for creating new added value products to foodstuff, animal feed, recycled fertiliser or bio-product markets
- ‘Single window’ research partnership: the properties of raw materials and end products can be assessed through laboratory tests, in research greenhouses or with feeding experiments, for example
- Our extensive competence and a wide range of equipment and facilities
The Extrusion Center’s equipment include a multi-screw extruder representing the latest technology as well as two twin-screw extruders suitable for foodstuff and animal feed product development.
The devices can be adapted for processing different raw materials, such as grains, berries, special crops or fish. Processing the side streams of the cereal chain, food industry or wood products industry is also possible.
Our experts have competence and experience in processing several different types of raw materials.
Our customers can include companies planning the product development of foodstuffs, animal feed manufacturers, recycled fertiliser manufacturers, biomaterial producers or research operators.
If you are planning to utilise new raw material, make use of the expertise of Luke’s specialists as well as our versatile and adaptable equipment and premises to save time on product development and to focus on your own core operations.
The results of the raw material processing tests and the test drives can be directly utilised for our customers’ product development or used to support the decision-making process when planning new partnerships, equipment investments or expansion.
