Value based result-oriented agri-food policies: legitimacy, efficiency and feasibility

The project enables development of result-oriented policy that emphasises the benefits provided by agriculture. We construct a common approach for the disciplines involved

identify citizens preferences and values for public goods and externalities from agricultural production examine farm-level production decisions under the result-oriented policy

analyse the willingness of policymakers to integrate citizens perceptions into agricultural and rural policies The theme enables improving the efficiency, legitimacy and feasibility of agri-food policies by focusing on the results of the policy that fulfil citizen expectations and are implementable by the farmers. Thus, it creates policy options that are beneficial for the general public with lower costs to the public sector. The project promotes the supply of public goods, increasing human well-being and advancing the transition towards more viable rural environment and livelihoods.
