UVC irradiation for control of strawberry thrips

UVC radiation is being developed as an alternative method to chemical pesticides in agriculture. The project investigates the potential effects of UVC radiation on pests and predator species living in strawberry crops, such as thrips and predatory mites. The study includes experimental trials conducted both in a strawberry tunnel and under controlled conditions.
