Towards more resilient food system in the face of uncertainty

TREFORM

The world is becoming increasingly unstable and uncertain due to climate change, global pandemics, commodity price fluctuations, geopolitical tensions etc. These crises are challenging national food security, which is a prerequisite for peaceful societies. Current key challenges for societies are to sustain resilient food systems and to strengthen preparedness for potential crises. Security of food supply requires effective international trade relations, resilient food production and supply chains, functioning logistics and infrastructure as well as secure availability of agricultural inputs. TREFORM consortium provides novel solutions and recommendations for short and long term decision-making while ensuring scientifically sound, transparent, and multi-voiced use of novel methodological approaches.
