Trade-offs and synergies in fish farming: decision-support for a sustainable bioeconomy on the Finnish coast

There are national and international pressures to expand the use of marine areas to increase the supply of food. This project will identify potentials, tensions and conflicts in fish farming policies designed to respond to these pressures, and identify and make explicit the trade-offs and synergies this engenders. We will offer governance solutions, engaging with stakeholders to ensure that a wide range of knowledge is incorporated in crafting sustainable and responsive policies.
