AI pehtoori, Utilizing Machine Learning Methods and Language Models for Farm Management

This project initiative focuses on developing an AI-based decision support system for farms, combining the APSIM crop simulation model, machine learning, and a large language model (LLM) to create a natural language interface. The goal is to build a prototype that enables farmers to receive field-specific recommendations and simulate farming strategies virtually. The system supports sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture. The project also explores the suitability of different LLMs for agricultural decision-making and lays the groundwork for future research and funding applications, including Horizon Europe and Business Finland programs.
