Advanced technology for cattle production is a pair of projects which includes an investment project and a development project. The general goal is to promote resource efficiency, animal health and competitiveness in the beef production chain. The detailed goals are to improve the research possibilities of the research barn located at the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) Ruukki experimental station, to improve the resource efficiency of beef production and to promote low-carbon cattle production, as well as to promote business related to production animal technology in the project area. In the development project, new technological equipment is tested and piloted, the information obtained in the project is passed on to the target groups, and business activities related to production animal technology are developed in the project area. The project will be implemented in the region of Northern Ostrobothnia between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025.
