Biological sprout control in Rosa rugosa

In the project, biological sprout control will be tested to control the regrowth of a harmful, alien species, Rosa rugosa. Rosa rugosa is difficult to control mechanically, and therefore the efficacy of a decay fungus Chondrostereum purpureum in preventing sprouting will be investigated. The target is to decay sprouts and undergrowth parts of the plant, and thus, prevent its regrowth and dispersal.
