Scalable remote sensing-based tools and methods for climate-responsible peatland management

Peatlands have multiple social, economic, and environmental values. They are crucial e.g. in relation to greenhouse gas (GHG) balance, biodiversity, and other ecosystem services (ESs). The starting point of the RemoResp is that climate-responsible peatland management can be reached through multiple land uses, by taking into account carbon sequestration and other ESs. RemoResp emphasis is on the development of peatland monitoring methods which are needed to find sustainable peatland management options.
