Policy measures for advancing sustainable farming practices

The EU develops its agricultural policy more sustainable. However, environmentally sustainable farming requires farmers to adopt new farming practices or even a whole new method, of which economic and social impacts are not currently well known. This research project aims to identify policy measures which facilitates the wide adoption of sustainable farming practices with smallest possible impact on farm and regional economy. The results provide information to policy makers for policy design. The project is expected to benefit the national policy design as well as farmers, who plan and develop their production.
