Survival of newly planted spruce seedlings from a hot and dry summer

The aim of the project is to study how spruce container seedlings planted in the spring of 2021 survived a hotter and drier summer than previously exist in southern and central Finland. The project investigate the extent of potential drought damage, what factors have contributed to the damage, and whether there are factors that, by taking into account, we can be better prepared for the corresponding summers in warming climate.
