Use of Crops on Farms 2013 – 2014 (provisional)

• The 2013 cereal harvest amounted to four billion kilos, of which half was sold during the 2013–2014 crop year.
• The majority of cereals that were not sold, approximately 1.4 billion kilos, were used as animal feed on farms.
• More than 300 million kilos of cereals were used for sowing in the autumn of 2013 and the spring of 2014.

Only provisional information is currently available about the use of crops on farms during the crop year of 1 July 2013–30 June 2014, and more detailed information will become available in February 2015.
