Use of Crops on Farms 2010 - 2011

Some of the data in the statistics for crop usage on farms 2010–2011 are based on sampling and some are based on calculations. The stock status of farms on 30 June 2010 and 30 June 2011 are based on sampling. The rest of the data in the statistics are based on calculations. The data are from the crop year 1 July 2010–30 June 2011.

• On 30 June 2011, farms stored a total of 560 million kilos of grain.
• The most commonly stored grain was barley, approximately 284 million kilos.
• During the crop year 2010–2011, farms sold an approximate total of 2,360 million kilos of grain.
• During the year, approximately 1,500 million kilos of grain was used as feed on farms.
