Foreign trade in agri-food products, 5/2023 (preliminary)

In May 2023, imports of agricultural products and foodstuffs amounted to EUR 0.63 billion and exports to EUR 0.19 billion. The value of imports fell by -6% from May of the previous year. The value of exports fell by -8% over the same period.

• Value of imports of dairy products +11% and value of exports -12%.
• Meat imports -13% in value and exports -11% in value.
• Potato imports -6% in value and exports -41% in value.
• Imports of fruit and berries -1% in value and exports +16% in value.
• Vegetables imports +9% in value, exports -26% in value.
• Value of imports of alcoholic beverages -8%, value of exports +16%.
• Imports of feedstuffs -20% in value, exports +0% in value.
