Access to organic farming plot
On this page
The organic farming plot enables field experiments in clay soil conditions. It enables research on the development of organic farming, including plant nutrient uptake, weed control, and testing of varieties or new crops suitable for organic production.
The service provides a long-term organic farming platform for research experiments, diverse research opportunities, and valuable data for the development of organic farming. Long-term experiments enhance understanding of plant growth processes and the impacts of organic production. The organic plots have both crop rotation and livestock farming cycles, implemented since 2016. Part of the area is under conventional farming and serves as a reference for comparison.
Annual monitoring data is collected from nine observation points, including yield quantity and quality. During the establishment phase in 2014, earthworm surveys and layered soil sampling were conducted, enabling future analysis of changes.
The service includes research experiment planning, organic field preparation, cultivation, and measurement and monitoring work.
Sample collection
Sampling and measurements are carried out according to the experimental design, and research data is delivered as agreed.
Target groups
Researchers, research groups, research communities, research networks, research projects, research organizations, companies.
Access type
- Physical, remote or hybrid access.
Service usage restrictions
Use of fertilizers and plant protection products prohibited in organic farming is not allowed on the plots.
Information to support the application
- Describe the research purpose/question, what will be studied.
- Specify the plant species and varieties used in the experiment.
- Indicate whether the experiment will be conducted in both arable and livestock rotation areas, or if a comparison with conventional farming is needed.
- Required area per experimental plot (m²) or plot dimensions (m).
- Required special equipment/inputs (organic seeds, organic fertilizers)/measurement devices.
