The aim is to investigate methods that can be utilised to improve the quality of soils and to enhance the sustainability of plant nutrition in field vegetable production. Effects of organic soil amendments and green manure on soil physical properties, nutrient losses and yield production will be evaluated. Moreover, we will collect practical experiences and propose new modes of operation to enhance the utilisation of organic materials in vegetable production.The project will produce research data on the potential of using soil amendments and green manure on vegetable fields.
