Success of cereals and varieties on peatland

In this project purpose is to do peatlands field tests for several varieties of spring barley, oat and wheat. Collected data will be used to determine e.g. yield potential of different varieties. Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) has built the peatlands climate and hydrological research environment in Siikajoki. In the future this project may also use this environment to measure nutrient and greenhouse gas emissions of different production crops.
Public research report will be published during winter 2017-2018.
