Simulation environment for plant production automation technology research

SIMU

ISOBUS laboratory, located in Natural Resources Institute Finland, has been developed and maintained as well as the future technologies and standards for agricultural machines has been studied in previous ISOBUSTURVA and KARI projects. This project focuses on the further development of the ISOBUS laboratory and associated tractor-implement simulation environment in support of other related research projects, as well as for enabling future research and development projects.

The main outputs of the project are:
- An up-to-date ISOBUS laboratory for researching and developing new functionalities and an informal AEF ISOBUS Conformance test site for product development.
- Dynamic and Responsive Tractor-Implement Operator & Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulator
- The Cyber-physical system research platform
- Design principles and operating models to manage cyber safety risks
