Utilizing Satellite Data in Environmental Assessment of Fish Farming

This project will make use of satellite data and develop methods to assess the environmental impact of fish farming. It is recognised that there is a clear need for more detailed information on the effects of different activities/human pressures on habitats in, for example, Natura sites. This project will use satellite data to assess the baseline water quality and its variability in the areas concerned and locally in areas where nature values have been identified or modelled, in order to further assess, through flow and impact studies, how conditions in the areas are changing to further assess impacts on nature values.
