The aim of the project is to promote feed production on cattle farms in Northern Ostrobothnia by providing information on the possibilities of diversifying the range of fodder plants in a changing climate. The aim is to provide information on feed production-related tools that help adapt to climate change and reduce the environmental impact of production. The project will focus in particular on improving grassland establishing through the use of whole grain silage and promoting the cultivation of annual legumes. In addition, information is generated on new, potential forage crops.
