MoPe
The project seeks solutions to diversify the varieties of cereals grown in Finland by utilizing landraces and old commercial varieties. The project develops and strengthens the operating model of grain propagation network established in 2017 with the aim of increasing the use of landraces and old varieties and improving the availability of seed. The project gathers information on their cultivation characteristics, quality factors and builds usability criteria based on cultivation experiments. The project envisions steps to increase diversity in Finnish plant production.
