Development of breeding value prediction software for animal breeding enterprises
MiXBLUP Research
The project focuses on breeding evaluations utilizing large-scale genomic information. The research is carried out in cooperation between scientists of Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and the Animal Breeding & Genomics Centre of Wageningen UR Livestock Research in the Netherlands. The developed breeding value prediction software MiXBLUP uses a state of the art solving algorithm which ensures fast computation for genetic evaluations in European livestock populations.
