Decision-making tool for whitefly management in greenhouse tomato

As a continuation for project Jaustra (https://vakra.fi/jaustra), Jäppi project aims at validating a decision-making tool for whitefly management in greenhouse tomato crops. The tool helps the grower to be informed about the success of whitefly biocontrol and the need of corrective control measures. The decision-making is based on weekly monitoring of whiteflies and predatory bugs Macrolophus with optimally distributed yellow sticky traps in the crop, plus on the spatial distribution of the pest and the biocontrol agent in the greenhouse. The decision-making tool is based on Excel-tables which will be provided to growers via the website https://vakra.fi administered by the Ostrobothnian Swedish Growers Union (ÖSP).
