Tracking isotopic signals in trees using mechanistic modeling unraveling the climatic response of boreal forests imprinted in decadal tree ring archives
This project applies mechanistic modeling and detailed isotopic measurements to understand how boreal trees function. The project addresses to what extent the isotopic signals in different parts of the trees are affected by stand characteristics, climatic conditions and tree metabolic processes.
