Digitalization in Bioeconomy -roadmap

The objective of the DigiBio -roadmap project is to support the development of new technologies and solutions for digitalization in the bioeconomy. The operational environment in the bioeconomy sectors, the related technology solutions and the necessary know-how will be developed. Furthermore, the future operational environment will be envisioned , along with the required solutions, expertise and research and development necessities. The project will be carried out in co-operation with VTT.

To achieve the goals of digitizing the bioeconomy, the project identified three change paths: 1) intelligent management of biomass flows, 2) a datadriven bioeconomy, 3) a networking and cooperative natural resource economy. Recommendations to key actors were also proposed.
Some examples of cases relevant to the identified change paths were described.
