Carbon free South Savo

The aim of the project is to promote ways to reach the goals of the carbon free South Savo by examining the solutions for energy use and the carbon balance of forests. The project identifies the most cost-effective and cost-effective alternatives to achieve carbon neutrality. The carbon dioxide neutral region means that the region's internal activity does not change the carbon content of the atmosphere. The project will set up a regional climate working group to bring the results into practice.

Hankkeen avulla saadaan perustettua ilmastotyöryhmä ja tuotettua alueen
viranomaisten päätöksentekoa tukevaa tietoa ”Hiilivapaan Etelä-Savon” edistämiseksi. Lyhyellä aikavälillä saadaan sovittua yhteiset tavoitteet ja toimenpiteet
hiilineutraaliuteen pääsemiseksi. Pitkällä aikavälillä päästään tavoitteisiin ja voidaan
hyödyntää asemaa hiilivapaana maakuntana. Hankkeessa saadaan ymmärrys siitä, miten ”Hiilivapaa Etelä-Savo” olisi kustannustehokkainta toteuttaa.
