Assessment of forestry entrepreneurship between the Finnish and Russian Karelia, promotion of forest workforce training and improvement of the assessment of forestry conditions before operations and assessment of work quality by using unmanned aerial vehicles.
General aim of the project is to support growing cross-border trade of SMEs. The specific objective is increased cross-border business activities and cooperation of SMEs in forest sector.
The project produces three outputs: 1) The analysis of cross-border forestry related business and its potential, 2) Forest business continuous training centre in Petrozavodsk for SME companies and 3) supporting terrain conditions data for tree harvesting operations planning with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles.
