Timo Räsänen

My research focuses on agricultural water erosion, hydrology, water management, and climate-related issues through the use of mathematical models, geospatial methods, statistical approaches, remote sensing data, machine learning, and high-performance computing. In addition, I have worked extensively on a wide range of topics, including water resources management, hydroclimatology, hydropower, digital mapping of peatlands, greenhouse gas emissions, decision support tools, forests, species distribution modeling, monsoon hydrology, and the water–food–energy nexus.
