We are interested in the ecological significance of mycoviruses infecting pathogenic, saprophytic and mutualistic fungal species of the boreal forest biotope. I’m looking into the mechanisms, frequency and importance of interspecies mycovirus transmission and the phenotypical effects of novel viruses infecting ectomycorrhizal fungi.
