My research focuses on horticultural crop growth in controlled environments. I study how key environmental factors, such as light, temperature, and water availability, influence plant performance and productivity. My work involves the design and execution of experiments in greenhouse and growth chamber settings, combined with detailed plant phenotyping and analysis of growth and physiological traits. I apply quantitative and computational methods to analyse complex datasets and integrate plant measurements with environmental data. This data-driven approach supports the optimization of greenhouse production systems and improves resource use efficiency. I am also interested in the application of digital twin concepts for modelling, monitoring, and optimizing greenhouse horticulture. Overall, my work aims to bridge fundamental plant science with applied horticultural solutions, contributing to the development of efficient and sustainable plant production systems.
