I am working on the ThermoEvo project (managed by Jenni Prokkola) as a Post Doctoral Researcher. Our work aims to explore how life history genotypes react under increasing temperatures, specifically short term increases seen in heatwaves. We will measure metabolic rates and growth rate under experimental conditions of juvenile salmon in year 1. We will also take tissue samples in order to measure metabolic stress. In the future, we aim to incorporate behavioural analysis and heart rate measurements into our analyses.
