Projects/Duties: My current duties include - 1. analyzing transcriptomic (mRNA- and miRNA-Seq) data sets in Sheep (reproductive tissues), and Cattle and Reindeer (adipose tissues) to study reproductive traits (in sheep) and signatures related to cold adaptation and energy metabolism (in Reindeer and Cattle) 2. metagenomic (MiSeq 16S rRNA) data analysis to study how gut microbial community defines the harsh arctic environment in terms of seasonality and food availability. 3. assistance in experimental designs (from statistical and bioinformatics point of view) and outsourced tasks/projects Special competences and keywords: genomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, structural bioinformatics, gene and genome annotation, data science, open science
