Expertise

Bioinformatics research, mainly in transcriptomics and genomics using gene expression data from mainly from RNA-seq for e.g. DE analysis, novel gene detection, characterization of other function elements like lncRNA. Further I work on genomic data from DNA-seq for variant calling, QTL and eQTL analysis to characterize population genomic features as well as causative mutations. In addition I am active in developing R-packages, currently I maintain 5 different packages hosted on Cran. Besides the analysis of genomic data, my research interest is in developing and applying modern statistics methods for dimension reduction as well as for tailored tests.
