Catch the Carbon - Climate Mitigation from Research to Practice
Since 2020 the ‘Catch the Carbon’ R&I program has provided almost 100M euros funding for more than 150 research, innovation and development projects to support Finland to reach its ambitious national target to be climate neutral by 2035. Luke's Catch the Carbon projects aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forestry and other land uses and enhance carbon sinks and storage. We presented results from four of these projects on 30th September in a Catch the Carbon Lunch meeting organised together with Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland.
Six factors for increasing wind power acceptance
Although wind power is widely recognized as an important form of clean renewable energy, the rapid deployment of wind farms can lead to concerns, conflicts, and opposition within local communities. Our Policy Brief presents six factors that contribute to the social acceptance of wind energy projects.
