Description

The statistics describe the other business activities of agricultural and horticultural enterprises and are comparable with statistics on other business activities of agricultural and horticultural enterprises in other EEA countries.

Information content

The statistics include information on the number of diversified farms and the sectors, workforce and work amounts, and the turnover of the farms' other business activities.

Classifications used

Data is available for the whole of Finland and also regionally by Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres).

Data collection methods and sources

Data on the other business activities of agricultural and horticultural enterprises has been compiled from the statistical questionnaire included in the Farm Structure Survey.

Update frequency

The statistics are updated every three to four years when the Farm Structure Survey is conducted.

Preparation and publication schedule

Preliminary data for the statistics is completed by the end of the year following the survey year, and final data is completed approximately six months after the publication of preliminary data.

Time series

Data on other the business activities of agricultural and horticultural enterprises in Finland was previously compiled in 2020, 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, 2000, 1997 ja 1995. However, the data does not establish a harmonised time series, because it has not been collected similarly every time.
