Producer Prices of Agricultural Products, 8/2023 (provisional)

Prices of wheat and barley decreased compared to the previous month. Grain prices were clearly lower than those in the corresponding month of 2022. The price of a food potato increased from the previous month.

Producer prices of August 2023 compared to the same month a year before, and the previous month (in parentheses):

• the price of milk on average: +2 % (+0,3 %)
• the price of bull meat: +4 % (+0,7 %)
• the price of pork (fattening pigs): 0 % (-0,6 %)
• the price of eggs from caged hens: +4 % (+1,3 %)
• the price of eggs from barn hens: +2 % (-0,5 %)
• the price of bread wheat: -26 % (-2,7 %)
• the price of feed barley: -29 % (-3,3 %)
• the price of oats: -30 % (+2,9 %)
• the price of food potatoes: +8 % (+3,3%).

Statistics on producer price of milk have changed from March 2022. The price of class-E normmilk includes paid supplement for animal welfare.

The price of eggs has been changed retrospectively since the beginning of 2023 as a result of the refinement of statistics on eggs produced in our own henhouse.

Price of food potato July 2023 retrospectively changed in August 2023.
