Producer Prices of Agricultural Products, 5/2023 (provisional)

Prices for all main cereals continued to fall. Cereals prices were well below those in the corresponding month of 2022. Meat and milk prices fell compared to the previous month.

Producer prices of May 2023 compared to the same month a year before, and the previous month (in parentehses):

  • the price of milk on average: +12 % (-4,1 %)
  • the price of bull meat: +12 % (-0,1 %)
  • the price of pork (fattening pigs): +12 % (-0,8 %)
  • the price of eggs from caged hens: +6 % (+3,6 %)
  • the price of eggs from barn hens: +1 % (+2,4 %)
  • the price of bread wheat: -37 % (-2,9 %)
  • the price of feed barley: -41 % (-6,2 %)
  • the price of oats: -41 % (-5,3 %)
  • the price of food potatoes: +8 % (-0,6 %).

Statistics on producer price of milk have changed from March 2022. The price of class-E normmilk includes paid supplement for animal welfare.

The price of eggs has been changed retrospectively since the beginning of 2023 as a result of the refinement of statistics on eggs produced in our own henhouse.

Producer prices are presented without VAT.
