In 2024, agricultural land was the most expensive in southern Finland, where arable hectares cost an average of EUR 10,417. The second most expensive arable land was in the Helsinki-Uusimaa area, where the price of agricultural land was 9,907 euros, and in Western Finland, field hectar cost 9,665. In Northern and Eastern Finland, agriculture land is clearly cheaper, at 5,482 €/ha. At the level of the whole country, the purchase price was EUR 8,670 per hectare, a decrease of EUR 207 per hectare compared to 2023.
Compared to the previous year, the purchase prices of agriculture land fell in all areas except in Southern Finland, where the purchase price increased by 51 euros per hectare.
