Description
The statistics include the prices of rented agricultural land in Finland. This is a new statistic.
Information content
The statistics include the prices of agricultural land rented by farms from third parties in Finland. The price describes the average price paid by farms per hectare.
Categories
In addition to the statistics for the entire country, the area classifications are by ELY Centre and by NUTS2 area. The data is also classified by type of farm into conventional production, organic production and horticultural production, and further by line of production into eleven production branches.
Data collection methods and source of information
The agricultural land rental prices are based on price information collected in connection with the crop and horticultural production survey. The crop production survey is an annual sample survey targeting some 6,000 farms engaged in conventional production and 600 organic farms. Every year, some 3,100 farms engaged in cultivation in the open and in greenhouses participate in the horticultural survey. The information is collected by an electronic form and telephone interviews. The statistics are compiled every three years.
