Average size of farms
According to the Structure of agricultural and horticultural enterprises statistics, Finnish farms had an average of 57 hectares of available agricultural land per farm in 2027. In 2024 the area was 55 hectares per farm. The size of farms has increased by 12 hectares in ten years.

Description of the indicator
The average farm size indicator is used to monitor the structural development of agriculture.
The next update of the indicator data will be in spring 2027, when the final statistics for 2026 will be published from the Structure of agricultural and horticultural enterprises.
