Changes and corrections to forest resources statistics

This page shows the changes to the statistics from 2020 onwards and the revisions from January 2022 onwards, such as mergers of statistics and name changes. A correction is a revision to the content of a statistical release made after this release date. Major revisions will also be published in an additional release.

Due to an error in the calculation of the figures, data have been corrected in the volume and increment tables:

1. Growing stock volume on forest land and poorly productive forest land by tree species
2. Growing stock volume on forest land and on poorly productive forest land on mineral soils and peatlands by tree species
3. Growing stock volume on forest land and on poorly productive forest land available for wood production by tree species (mill. m³)
4. Growing stock volume on forest land and on poorly productive forest land by forest ownership category (mill. m³)
5. Growing stock volume by roundwood assortment on forest land and on poorly productive forest land (mill. m³)
6. Growing stock volume by tree diameter distribution on forest land (mill. m³)
7. Mean growing stock volume on forest land (m³/ha)
8. Mean growing stock volume on forest land available for wood production by stand development classes (m³/ha)
9. Annual increment of growing stock on forest land and on poorly productive forest land
10. Mean annual increment of growing stock on forest land
11. Annual increment of growing stock on forest land and on poorly productive forest land by forest ownership category (mill. m³/year)
12. Biomass of living trees on forest land and on poorly productive forest land (mill. t) 

The correction concerns the area of Northern Finland: North Ostrobothnia, Kainuu and Lapland. The correction also affects the data for the whole country.
