Forest accounts

Forest accounts produce internationally harmonised information on the area of wooded land and value bare forest land in Finland including changes in land use. Estimates of the quantity and monetary value of timber are produced. The FAO definition of forest is used in calculations. The economic activities of the forestry and logging sector are part of the statistics, as well as physical supply and use of wood in the rough. The data are not regional. The statistics are published annually.
