Food potato storages on farms 15.1.2011

• In January 2011, there was a total of 122 million kilos of food and processed food potatoes in stocks on farms. Of this, 108 million kilos were food potatoes.
• When compared to mid-October, the amount of food and processed food potatoes had been reduced by 106 million kilos and the food potato amount by 93 million kilos.
• When compared to January 2010, the storage level was 38 million kilos less of food and industrial processing potatoes. There is 24 million kilos less of food potatoes than there was in January 2010.
• The diminishing of inventory levels has been especially increased by significant exports to Russia.

The next survey of the harvest season’s storages levels is to be conducted on 15 October 2011.
