Food potato storages on farms 15.10.2011

• On-farm stocks of food potatoes stood at 221 million kilograms in mid-October.
• The total stocks were 21 million kilograms over the previous year's levels.
• The increase in stocks is the result of a increase in the land area used for potato cultivation and a increase in potato production per hectare

The next survey of on-farm food potato stocks will be carried out on 15 January 2012.
