Egg Production Statistics, Q4 and year 2025

In 2025, slightly over 81 million kilograms of eggs were produced, which was three percent more than in 2024. 

  • The production of barn eggs increased by 13 percent. In contrast, the production of enriched cage eggs decreased by 23 percent, free-range eggs by 8 percent, and organic eggs by 2 percent.
  • Of the total production, 74 percent were barn eggs, 16 percent enriched cage eggs, 6 percent organic eggs, and 4 percent free-range eggs.

The total production volume of eggs 2025 will be updated during spring 2026 when data about on-farm use and direct sales are available.
