Access to VirtuLab
On this page
VirtuLab brings nature and other environments indoors using high-quality audiovisual means. In this space, you can experience nature when it is not easily accessible. VirtuLab is a unique and adaptable entity that is suitable for multidisciplinary environmental research and testing different types of content. It has been designed in collaboration with researchers and experts, combining audiovisual technologies, construction, and interior design.
VirtuLab can be used to study the impact of different environments, technological solutions, and content, as well as to examine, for example, the acceptability of environmental changes and the well-being effects of virtual nature. Future possibilities include gamifying nature experiences and developing new digital nature solutions. The space is not limited to natural environments – any environment can be brought in for research or teaching purposes.
VirtuLab offers an immersive 360° space, a smaller research space for VR experiences, and a larger unified space for meetings and teaching, for example. Virtual environments, interactive walls, VR headsets, heart rate monitors, a 360° camera, a meeting screen, and equipment such as a scent diffuser, water dispenser, and refrigerator are available. In addition, the space allows you to bring in and use your own content.
